A healthful diet with adequate folate may reduce a woman’s risk of having a child with brain or spinal cord birth defect. Each Folic Acid Plus contains 400 mcg folic acid, plus vitamin C and bee pollen.
Before pregnancy, a woman should take 400 mcg (0.4 mg) a day (take 1 tablet daily with a meal). During pregnancy, she should take 800 mcg per day (2 tablets daily with a meal). |
